- Ostia Antica Archaeological Park
The historic city of Ostia Antica owes its name to the proximity of the Tiber river and the sea (the name derives from "ostium", literally "mouth").
Before the disastrous flood of 1557, in fact, the course of the river was considerably different and the proximity to the sea reduced compared to that
today. The Archaeological Park of Ostia Antica is one of the largest in Italy, and offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in an atmosphere that takes us back in time. The Baths of Neptune, the Roman Theater, the Temple of Rome and Augustus and the different Domus that surround the main street are just some of the
remains of that civilization that was once and that laid the roots of today's world.
